Q. I have top tier status with my preferred hotel chain. Why would I want the rates you are offering?
A. Because you may be able to combine your own status perks with others that are not available through your elite program. These rates go beyond top tier hotel status and additional perks can be enjoyed. They usually include a Welcome Amenity, Priority for Upgrades, Early Check ins/Late Check outs, Hotel F&B Credit and ComplimentaryBreakfasts for two usually served in the restaurant.
Q. I have an Amex Platinum Card. How are your rates and benefits different than what my card can offer?
A. Amex Platinum card members have less of a wide reach with hotels and access far less hotels in their program than what we can offer. Also, you may not be getting all the exclusive perks such as confirmable upgrade upon booking vs at check-in for room upgrades. Normally, the Fine Hotels and Resorts rates would place you third or fourth in queue for any type of upgrade or early check-in late/check-out request. VIP status is simply not as high when using the Amex rates and other small touches such as in person welcome by hotel management at participating properties, are not offered with their rates.
Q. What is a Best Available or Flexible Rate?
A. These rates refer to what the lowest published rate the hotel offers, and is not a prepaid or highly restrictive rate. The rates can usually be cancelled up to 24 or 48 hours prior to arrival.
Q. Can I accumulate points on these rates?
A. Of course you can!
Q. Are other offers combinable with these rates?
A. The real answer is sometimes it is and sometimes it is not! For example, 3rd or 4th night free promotions can be combined with these rates! Contact us to find out what rates can be combined with the benefits and perks offered in different programs.
Q. What other added value do these rates bring other than those mentioned?
A. We have direct contacts at each individual property. As a result, turnaround times for special requests or any type of help to resolve any issues is far quicker than trying to go through front desk, central reservations, etc. We know who does what at each property and can reach out specifically to the relevant in-house department to ensure high quality service is delivered.
